As global industry transformation and competition intensifies, the division of labor is becoming more elaborate, accelerating structural changes of Taiwan's economy. In future, the services industry will be the key industry of the nation, and the industry that connects Taiwan with the world. At a time when the services industry accounts for nearly 70% of the GDP, an era that belongs to the services industry has unveiled. The chain store franchise industry is to bring Taiwan from an agriculture-, export processing-oriented economy to a services-oriented one. As a result, the chain store franchise segment is to remain the core of the services industry, playing a major role in economic activities. In the face of global competition, in addition to stepping up construction of infrastructure, improving operating environment, and raising the ability to connect with the international community, cultivating talents is another key area. A comprehensive training program should include establishment of a certification system by drawing up talents classification standards and mapping out a complete growth blueprint in order to motivate employees to upgrade themselves.
